Really nice place, a very comfortable cafe in an extremely well and sympathetically restored building. With some very interesting railway artefacts on display, Just had our grandson's christening here and very impressed. Staff really friendly.

Pleasant visit and dog friendly...
Irlam Station is a revelation! They have preserved some of the elements of old railways that remind you of times gone by and they've done it really well. The cafe is lovely - we sat in what looked like a converted carriage and the food was very good and very reasonably priced. The staff were excellent - very friendly and efficient. I'll be going back.
Beautiful little station, with a range of different trains to look and take photos of, the pub itself is a really nice welcoming pub and the staff are incredibly friendly. The toilets and sitting area looked and was very clean and tidy. The interior of the pub is very retro style and old original railway signs are scattered around. I would highly recommend visiting this station.
The rude working staff confined the area we could sit to one room, not due to our actions but because of our age. Rather than asking us to move nicely, she stomped over and agressively instructed us to move. Overall, I didnt feel welcome.
