What a fabulous place to spend a day. My sister and I visited this fantastic heritage park today, walking around the park and seeing the open air exhibits of settlements from Pre- Historic Settlers, Bronze Age settlements, Early Medieval Ringfort, Early Christian Monastery, a Fulacht Fiadh, a crannóg, Viking settlements and a Norman Castle. This heritage park is definitely worth a visit, a great day out for all the family young and old. With toilet facilities, a visitor centre and restaurant, the Irish National Heritage Park is a excellent place to learn about Irish history and ancestry.

Fantastic day out for the kids and us! Ample parking. So well laid out with lots of places to sit and eat a picnic. There are 3 tours you can join, included in the admission price, or you can explore on your own. Well worth going to!

Informative and fun way to spend a few hours. The various sites provide a nice look at ancient Irish past. The bird of prey exhibit was also fun. Nice sandwiches in the little restaurant.

Really enjoyed our visit here. Its years since I've been here and was glad to see that there's new additions to the park plus there's money been spent on it. It great place for children to roam free and take in the exhibits unfortunately we did not have enough time to do full tour as we were late going but we will be back.

Great slice of historic life with some amazing buildings and great depictions of life around Europe during prehistoric times and onwards. The kids particularly enjoyed the ring fort and the monetary. Great way to spend 2 or 3 hours and a nice walk to boot.

The kids loved this place and I enjoyed it immensely too. The exhibitions are fantastic and the workmanship was exemplary. We didnt take a guided tour but there was plenty of information to help us understand each part. Half way around theres archery. That's extra at 3 euro a person but it's well worth it. The lady and her daughter who run the archery were brilliant with the kids and everything was very professional. The cafe in the centre was open and the food was great. All good and highly recommended. Beware google maps will take you to the wrong entrance. It will get you almost to the entrance but not quite!!

Great Craig for whole family . And educational experience also! They somehow turned back time and give us a chance to see how ancients lives. Tip for visitors :read all from the small plaques on posts. Very educational and funny. Highly recommend

Myself and my family had such an amazing experience. It is a little bit more money that usual history or heritage sites but it is very well worth the money if you are into ore historic Ireland and monastic Ireland. Definitely will go again
