We asked locally for the best on Barry Island. Big queue said it all. Good chippy. Lots of variety on the menu too.
Absolutely love this place! Chips fresh & crispy every time and the portions are generous. Yes it's a little pricy when you compare it to fish & chip shops away from the seaside when you're visiting but you're paying for quality. A big win is definitely the fish bites, they're more like mini fish and come in 3 or 5 portions!
Update: Haddock here is the best. You'll wait 10-15 mins and 20 on a busy day but it's the tastiest and biggest in any chipshop in Barry. Fantastic portions. The food is lovely and not greasy like some chip shops. The sausage and batter was a little dry for being unsold for a while and the fish cake wasn't that fresh but all in all it was a good catch.
