We decided to take the ATS course through Playwest Mountain Experience. I am sure glad we got the course done through Chris. He gave us very detailed information. He is highly skilled and knows what he is doing. I don't believe we would have had the same experience and share of info with anyone else. He went out of his way to accommodate to doing a private course and it was full worth it. I would highly recommend Playwest Mountain Experience.

New to the mountains and the backcountry, I figured it would be smart to educate myself with the dangers of travelling in avalanche country. Signed up for an AST-1 with Playwest Mountain Experience and couldn't be happier with the instruction I have received. Very knowledgeable, experience and fun teaching, made for a great way to be introduced and educated with the ever-so-real, dangers in avalanche country. Highly recommended.
We came from Ontario to Invermere BC for a girls week! We had Chris take us on 2 of his hiking excursions, wetlands, waterfalls and wild life and also the Summit & sunsets. We had Such a fabulous time both excursions! Chris is very knowledgeable and confident about the surrounding, mountains, flowers, wildlife and even made us a wonderful fondue snack while we watched the most breath taking sunset I ever atop. mount Swansea! We also had so many great laughs. Memories that will last forever!! I highly recommend Chris at play west for your hiking adventure. Thank you Chris!! We will see you again as I know there is so much land to explore!!
Absolutely fantastic. We went up with Chris to Welsh Lakes yesterday. Wife and I and two boys 12-15. Perfect day. Chris had the kids engaged with stories and information about the area from start to finish. Highly recommend for any family in the valley this summer.
I had the pleasure of attending a guided hike lead by Chris thanks to his fantastic business. Through the hike itself we went at a comfortable pace and our guide took moments to give recognition to special spots we would not have seen otherwise, as well as share a little bit of his personal nature knowledge. At the top we had an amazing fondue provided by our guide and took the time to watch the sunset over the incredible mountains. Having Chris as our guide during this adventure was well worth it. The experience would definitely not have been the same without him. would do it again any day!
