Really enjoyed visiting Inveraray Castle - is very beautiful from the outside (and inside) and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Has a good one way system set up. Isn’t the cheapest for 25 for two adults. But has a small cafe and gift shop with toilets. Gardens are pretty! Also has a bit of info on the Campbell clan, which is quite interesting as I am a descendent of theirs.

This castle is absolutely amazing! The staff is so kind and lovely. They welcomed us with a big smile and you can feel that they love their work. Also the castle is so beautiful! You feel like you're in à fairytale. You can have a little visit inside were you can learn more about the castle and who lived here. It was very interesting! At the end of the visit you can have a walk in the garden to take some nice pictures of the castle. We also stopped at the café to eat and drink something. It was nice too! And the surprise is you can see some Highland Cows. I was so happy to see some even though they were a bit away. But if you're lucky they can come closer!

Beautiful castle and grounds. Seemingly some period drama called, \Downtown Abbey \, was filmed here! Well preserved and presented building and friendly, polite staff. The village of Inveraray itself is worth seeing .

Unfortunately we were unable to go inside castle as its closed to the public on the day we visited. We were however able to walk around the extensive grounds. We walked along the banks of the River Aray in Autumnal sunshine. The stunning Autumn colours framing the grounds beautifully. 5 stars for the grounds alone. Stunning!

Impressive stately home that died indeed look like you would imagine a castle should. As this is being lived in, only a few rooms can actually be entered (although due to COVID they have opened up a couple of private rooms to enable a one-way system) so you don't actually spend much time inside. The gardens are good to walk around, whilst not hugely impressive compared to some others. Small café shop also - plus the car park is a good place to leave the car after your visit and walk into Inveraray itself. Overall worth a visit just to see the impressive building.
