ON point is one way of describing Fishbone. A very unique and impressive Portuguese dining experience. The staff is professional and have an extensive knowledge of the menus (food and beverage). It's always very nice seeing the manager on the floor and checking on each table. The atmosphere is bright and cozy. The food surpassed our expectations! Proper COVID measures were in place and visible. We highly recommend this spot for any occasion. Thank you, Fishbone. We look forward to our next visit.

My two girlfriends and I had the most wonderful experience at Fishbone. First of all, it's located in the beautiful Friday Harbour, right on the \dock\ and is beautifully decorated, very open and airy. We were seated by the windows which opened up. We were served by the lovely Kristen, she provided absolutely exceptional service. So friendly, personable and knowledgeable - she was able to answer all of our many questions about the menu with ease. We were celebrating a birthday and she made the dinner extra special with a handwritten note and complimentary beverage. The food was perfect. We had the tiger shrimp as an appetizer, and the steak, salmon and seared tuna. All bursting with flavour and presented beautifully. It is a finer dining experience in the Simcoe region and absolutely worth the price point considering the quality of food and service you receive, all in a lovely location. We will definitely be returning - thank you for a lovely evening!
Fishbone restaurant is everything other reviewers have said and more. It was an extremely pleasant experience from start to finish. We were greeted with very friendly staff and ordered seafood as appetizer and main course as well as their famous uncommon lamb burger. Their prices are on the higher average range but I believe its fair comparing to rhe quality of food. All in all it was a very great night and our waitress topped it all off with a complimentary Port wine. I highly recommend this amazing place.
Taste ok. Not worth the price. We were here today to have some nice lunch. Steamed mussels as an appetizer, shrimp linguine pasta and Burger for entree. Appetizer tasted good with lots of flavours but it was little too salty on my palette I had shrimp pasta for my main and was surprised to find hard crab(or lobster) shell in my pasta which totally dropped my appetite, and I ended up bringing it home just to find out there were many more pieces of shells. It was such a disappointment since they are specializing in seafood and should be more cautious about shells getting into the food. Also when we were dining in the restaurant I asked for a piece of plain bread for my 1yr old daughter to nibble around which they ended up charging me 5 just for the plain sour dough. I complained about it to the server since we found the hard shell in my food that it might be nice to at least take the charge off on bread.(which we weren’t even expected to be charged) So the manager took of 5 for the bread but no apologies on finding hard shell in the food. My husband’s burger which was called Uncommon burger on the menu tasted little dry and we found nothing special about it. Reason i’m giving extra star is because our server was nice and at least he was trying to accommodate us. Not sure if we will go back if we are in Friday Harbour
Elevated Portuguese Food- I cannot get enough. I have photos of the sea bass, the tuna, and the paella- all were executed perfectly. I forgot to take a picture of the fried calamari and the Icelandic cod (SO GOOD). I like how the menu seems to be seasonal as well- the ingredients are always fresh. The service is professional, polite, courteous. We will go here every chance that we get!
