I was in town for a conference in Red Deer During Oct 12-14. The first day i went for breakfast and got a french toast with blueberries, but totally forgot to take pictures. It got busier soon after we got there. Waitress got busy but the food was very good. 2nd day i drove around town to see if i could eat anything but decided to go back to “Hometowne grill” as nothing else seemed familiar. I was greeted by Anil , the owner and was assigned a seat. The atmosphere is relatively peaceful and inviting, and quite roomy too. I decided to order Philly beef dip was very glad i did as it was all gone. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries. Anil was very helpful and even made me an indian milk tea(india) which was delicious. Some of the things i learnt about this place were that the the beef gravy is only beef and not combined or mixed with any pork. Pork products are cooked on separate griddles or pans from chicken or beef; this could be useful to know if someone does not eat pork. Restaurant was clean, we were being checked on often incase we needed anything on both days. The place is clean and comfy. I will definitely visit again if i am passing by. Glad i decided to stopover at this gem of a place.

A decent spot for lunch or supper. Usually short staffed when I have been there but the staff work hard and are friendly. Food is average to slightly about average but is a good price for the quantity (most entrees come with 2 sides). Seems to be busy around lunch time but not too bad. An older crowd is usually their clientele but is a good spot for families as the prices are very fair.
Good food and service. Stopped here on the way through for lunch. Service was prompt and as you can see there is not a morsel of good left on the plate. It Was a beef dip that got punished. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Came to town to visit my mom and we stopped here. Food was fantastic and the owner came to talk to us a few times. Great "home town" place. Would recommend going here!
Beef dip heaven and 4 omelette amazement. The hash browns they served with the omelette were spiced with magic. So good. Beef dip juice was just sick with taste....so good. Highly recommend!
Best club house sandwich I have ever had. So happy we stopped here on the way to Calgary!! Way better pit stop then Red Deer. Much less traffic and the resturans aren't packed. The hometown grill wasn't the cleanest place I have ever been to but I was very surprised by how amazing the food taste. I will go there every road trip south for the club house. Its so filling you don't need any sides just the sandwich its self. The clam chowder so pretty good as well. Right on the main street. Give it a try.
"WE HAVE EXPERIENCED WE RECOMMEND" I was in Innisfail on Tuesday for a business meeting, While I was in town I decided to stop at the Hometown Grill for lunch. I ordered coffee and the soup of the day, coffee was good, however the Broccoli soup was amazing. I would recommend this fine restaurant to anyone who appreciates home style cooking. I will be back.
