Great friendly people run the place. We arrived at Ingonish late at night and it was pouring. Brookside Takeout was one of very few places open if none! You order and wait for your food a little bit to be prepared and it is worth the wait! We ordered Cheese burger, fish burger, grilled chicken wraps and chicken wings and we all enjoyed our food and no one complains. It was a great experience and I do recommend Brookside Takeout.. P.s. THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH PAYMENT so be prepared.

Food was great if not slow. We stopped here on a whim and I was excited they had coffee as I had a chill from swimming. I was going to sit on the picnic tables and relax with a hot cup while I wait for my food. They could not figure out how to use their coffee machine. ultimately I went without and they refunded my coffee. This left a sour taste in my mouth as I was so looking forward waiting WITH a coffee. The coffee was the only thing that made the waiting worth it. I didn't have my coffee and still had to wait. Loved the food. Have to step up the service though.
Food was fantastic! A bit of a wait when we got there but definitely worth it. We loved the broccoli bites and the bottle caps if you wanted to get something other than seafood but everything was delish!
Very busy at 930pm on a Wednesday night. Took a while to order and a bit of a wait for the food but well and truly worth it. Really great bacon cheeseburger. Poutine was made with mozzarella instead of cheese curds but still good. Good price too
