I am from Texas and was visiting LA for a couple of days and wanted to try their soul food, this place was recommended to me by someone who lives here and I must say, I was VERY disappointed. There was no seasoning or flavor to the food at all, I had the catfish with mac & cheese, rice & gravy, it was not very edible I could not finish, I would go far as to to a disgrace to soul food. It made me feel as it I was going to be sick and I’m am not kidding but I would say to someone is try at your own risk.

The best soul food I have ever had. Cooked to perfection. It was so good that we ordered a separate dinner each to take with us.!!!!!!
Honestly not to bad. I ordered the fried redsnapper (i don't think it was fried fresh to order may have been been out for a while,) but the flavor was good( just be sure to have your hot sauce and tartar sauce near.) The Greens was good i like that they give you room to season it to your liking, Same with the Mac and cheese. I also ordered the potatoe salad which was neutral. Overall pretty good if you just want something diffrent to eat while you're out and have a craving for soul food. I would probably visit again in the furture.
There are so many things I want to say about MS. B and M&M's staff. The food was amazing and the staff feel like family. My mother, daughter and I ordered and ate, then we had issues with my car. MS. B stayed with us well after closing until our help finally arrived. She's such a beautiful person and a blessing in her own right. Her caring for others goes far beyond a transaction of money. I'm going back for the wings, peach cobbler and a big hug. Thank You Ms. B the lady with a of Gold.....
