Wonderful place for lunch or afternoon tea. Food is delicious and the cakes are superb. Tea is served in and on proper China tea cups saucers and plates for your cake, scones or sandwich. The decor is delightful. We love treating ourselves there once or twice a month.

Loved the interior décor and china used, the cake is really good, light sponge, not at all dry and very tasty icing. Staff were all super friendly and couldn't do enough to help make your visit enjoyable. The main meals were simple and tasty, but lacked a little of the homemade indulgence you get with the cake. Would have been nice to have a doorstop wedge of bread or crusty roll rather than a slice of bread and maybe do a homemade coleslaw, but nonetheless was a very nice lunch in a lovely setting.
Walking in Newton today and found this jem up a side street just off Queen Street. We had seen several cafés but this had 2 x sets of 2 seating just outside. Being very aware of covit we sat outside. Very pleasant chap took our order of 2 x americano and 2 x biscotti biscuits. Noticed that the other chairs were taken by a couple with a dog which was brought a water bowl also told by the owner that the dog was welcome inside as well. Nice touch!! Very pleasant experience with genuine customer service. .
A fantastic sandwich and wonderful team very friendly and welcoming. A lovely cups of tea to be had.
