When expecting my twins in the far off year of 1986, my then-husband and I began looking for a church home. I knew what I DIDN'T want in a faith community, but had yet to find what I DID want and need. Until I saw the phrase in advertisements \Where Reason and Religion Meet.\ Then came the day we first attended All Souls. He had grown up unchurched, while I had been raised very fundamentalist Christian. That first Sunday he leaned over and whispered, \there's a PARAGRAPH on the wall!\ expecting more traditional religious iconography. My response: \I know. Isn't it great!?!\ I'm pleased to have been able to have raised my three children with UU values there. To have come into this community during the tenure of Ed Harris' wise counsel during some particularly devastating crises, and to have enjoyed the benefit of Bruce Clear and Nancy Renner Clear's friendship and guidance. To have made life long friends. To have experienced music, art, participating in creative expression of my own and that of others, fellowship, inspiration, and shared joys and sorrows.

When an unwanted divorce found me unwelcome in my former church. All Souls' in 1986 welcome to me in and even encouraged my ministry which I will forever be grateful. Now I am part of a Humanist community in Florida. I am happy to learn of your current light and activity’s in the Indy area.
