Poor service, I went to the Lee summit and Blue Springs locations and confirmed policies on exchanges. The Independence location lied to me. After successfully exchanging at two different locations I have decided I’m done with the Independence location. The store clerk was rude and said “We can’t help you, not going to argue” I responded “I’m not arguing, but this isn’t right... that’s not what I was told” their manager followed up by basically saying the same “Sorry, can’t help you, you’re on your own, our computers don’t work”(what a story)... I drove out to Lee summit and picked up a piece, I asked the staff there the same question, their response: ” As long as it’s from that location, you can exchange the product with your receipt “ I called Blue springs and they responded with “as long as you have your receipt that location should exchange it for you” I was denied service from the manager at the Independence location, because and I quote “As soon as you walk out the store, I have no idea where you’ve had it”. She lacks the knowledge and ability to work in the customer service field. I’d highly recommend retraining your staff at this location. Anytime I’ve been to this store, I can never find any help, in fact I have to hunt around before I can find staff. Anyone who does help has no idea what they are doing. Needless to say, their poor customer service has lost my business AND the business of my extended family and my closest friends who have decided not to support a place that lacks the ability to help the public. Not to say all their staff is bad, just the poorly trained management that have been improperly promoted to a role they have neither the skill nor the competence to run an entire store. If you are someone who likes Petco, avoid the Independence store and go to the other locations who have customer oriented people running their stores.

This store smelled the moment I walked in. The fish tanks were infested with invasive snails, brown algae covered the glass. The floor was grimy. I did not see any salesperson. Chalk was written on the sidewalk to warn of social distancing, the store obviously not concerned. One star is too high...I won't be back.
My Jango simply loves going for car rides, but hates being left in the car. We love going to Petco because he gets to join in the fun! They always have what we need and he loves shopping around the store. People are so friendly and supportive. They interact with him and he loves the attention he gets. It's our favorite place to visit, especially when we need a new red ball! He does love his Kong balls!
My family & I were looking for specific products. We found a very helpful & nice sales associate to help us with our search. She was very informative & very patient while we discussed products & asked questions. We experienced the same level of customer service from the associate at the check out counter.
My dog loves all the ladies that take great care of him when it's time for hair and nails! They take extra time with him so he can dry properly. So fresh and so clean!
