Went in looking to inquire about if they sold macrame string/thread or wool... something to braid without loosening! Trying to keep busy at home...again totally new to this! A lady sat behind the desk and panel to protect her from covid...just said without looking up or greeting me \we're not a crafting store. \ That's fine, but I had barely said a sentence about my predicament and seeking some help. She made me feel like I was a bother and unimportant...almost like I had disturbed her very quiet store. I still tried to get info by asking if she had wool or cotton thread to practice with...only to have her point to an area somewhere around the cashier of Cotton thread, which was only two items from China. (Did not get up, just pointed in a direction)very poor selection. I ended up going to Knotty by Nature in Fernwood. Amazing! Lots of wool and yarn and even macrame string!!! Tons!!!! He had amazing items that were made with everything he sells there! The gentleman that works there went above and beyond! He even shared a lot of knowledge on types of wool and yarn there. I tried to support local as I live in Sidney and my mother frequently buys from here, but she's even said the \help\ at in sheep's clothing is something to be desired. I gave 3 stars, but feel it should be a 1-2

I wasn’t sure what to expect here but I’m so glad I stopped in. I found several cross stitch charts that caught my eye and a couple skeins of hand dyed floss that I’m excited to add fo my stash. I’m not a knitter but I am certainly going to recommend this store to anyone who might be visiting. The employee was kind and easy to chat to. It’s very near the airport and quick to find with parking right out front.

I recently visited In Sheep's Clothing for the first time looking for advice on what yarn to buy for a project to knit a hat for a good friend undergoing chemotherapy, as I am a total novice at knitting. I was really disappointed with the minimal help offered by the owner. She showed little interest in advising me, and her attitude was poor, not what one would expect towards a customer. The whole project was way beyond both myself and an ageing family member who had offered to help, due to the inappropriate fine yarn that was sold to me and the small double pointed needles and circular needle that I was told I needed. When I tried to return the items a few days later I was told that the owner's policy was that no refund was possible, only an in-store credit. The overall customer service was substandard. To finish this negative review on a more positive note, I was rescued by a very kind hearted and compassionate fellow customer who heard of my situation when I was trying to return the items. She offered to knit the hat for me without charge, which she did very efficiently. I shall be mailing the hat to my friend today. My sincere thanks to this lovely lady for helping me out of a difficult situation.

There are helpful knitted accessories or garments (not just swatches) of many of their available yarns, which is fantastic for understanding how they knit up. Everything is priced reasonably. Not a huge selection of brands, but it is a small store. I stop here every time I'm in town!

Friendly and helpful. Nice selection. Prices in line with other wool shops.
