Lots friends recommended before so we’ve always wanted to try this place. Now that we have done it, man, we should have done it sooner. The place was nicely located near St James park and the building was beautiful. There was a promotion in the Peking duck so we pre ordered it when booking. All the food were really great and authentic. Price wise it was expected to be higher but I was surprised that the final total was only 20-30% more than our usual budget. I’d recommend to anyone wish for a taste of authentic Chinese food.

Delicious spot for Chinese food. The cheung fun and the shrimp dumplings are great apps, but the mains were absolutely divine, especially the prawn mains and the egg fried rice. Great service and really nice/sophisticated decor. Will definitely be back!
We visited in a Friday evening in December. Imperial Treasure Waterloo has a five star food standards agency rating from july 2020. Perhaps because of covid it wasnt difficult to get a booking on a usually popular Friday night. After booking we got the usual call to confirm the reservation, they also asked us if we would like to pre-book the special duck, but we didnt feel the need. We went for the Christmas tasting menu and wine pairing, plus a cocktail at the bar which was very good). The wine pairings were good, but very pricey. Overall the meal was lovely and we had no complaints, the duck was great and the pancakes were light and fluffy. Overall the quantity was very good, and we were too full to really eat the desert. I don't know if we would go back, the price tag was huge even compared to where we eat, but it might be fun to eat a more varied menu there.
The Chinese New Year takeaway service was absolutely horrible as I ordered the 6pm pickup and I arrived on time but no food. I was told by reception to come back in half an hour and the entrance was full of people, no observation of Gov lockdown rules, 20 or so all inside waiting for their orders. I returned in 30 minutes, no trace of my order, the receptionist even did not bother to talk to me or answer question. In fact she went inside to help prepare food leaving the front desk empty, but full of disappointed customers. Staffs did not serve customers or answer questions Another hour passed still no trace of my order prepared, in fact there is no queuing system but seeing some who know the restaurants to take their orders without any respect of whose orders coming first Another 15 minutes passed I was very cross then asking a packaging staff who is friendly to check progress of my order but he couldn’t even find my order even though I paid in full. In the end he had to recreate my order and I went for a walk in the chilly cold. Around 8:45pm I finally got my food, 2h45minutes late with my children starving at home This is a terrible customer serviced or a high end Restaurant and the root cause is the restaurant too greedy taking in far too many orders without consideration of its capacity to deliver. At the busiest night in the year, the manager had the day off leaving the chaos to untrained staff who are probably paid at the minimum wage while the restaurant raked in ten thousands of pound profit at the expenses of angry customers.
If you are looking for authentic high end Chinese cuisine, come here. The best in London. Their chef is from Hong Kong. Great environment as well.
