Service was friendly during ordering and quick, however the food was very poor. The kung po beef order contained shredded beef so tough it was basically inedible. Strips were so thin and so overcooked there was essentially no meat left and rock-hard. Salted chilli dishes were ok except they were heavily overseasoned and unpleasantly salty. Curry sauce was decent. Portions are below average size. When ringing the restaurant to complain about my inedible meal I was met with poor excuses that the beef should be tough and its supposed to be difficult to eat. They couldn't really care less. I give up as I wasn't prepared to argue. Disappointing and money wasted.
Imperial kitchen is the best takeaway in Ballyclare, if not county Antrim. Can't fault the food at all, Liam does a stellar job.
