Gorgeous place in autumn. A couple of walks around the estate and a short walk (ca. 1mile) to Dovedale Stepping Stones. Small car park but a lot less busy than Dovedale. Amazing view from the picking tables at the top of the estate. Great soup, kids meal pack and hot drinks from the estate cafe

Such a gem! A great place to enjoy the scenery. Toilets and cafe available. Great place to walk to the Dovedale stepping stones - an enjoyable 1.5 miles away.
Beautiful place! Lovely walks long and short! A good base for circular walk including Dovedale and Milldale! Great coffee to start off on and again to finish! Even catered for vegans, a plus for my daughter!
