Small but beautiful shop selling a wide range of cooking oils as well as liquor. Friendly staff who who were patient and helpful. They let us try a wide variety of different gin flavours and did not push us to purchase anything. The presentation bottles come in different shapes and sizes and make a lovely gift!

This tiny shop packs a lovely experience. Elliot was all aces, helping us to find oils and vinegars that would match our tastes, figuring out what would work out best to bring home to Canada, and gave us samples of anything we wanted when we appeared indecisive. Go for the 3 bottles deal - they stack together in a cool way and make a great gift. They will write on the bottles the name of what you've chosen and a desired message. Highly recommend this shop if you're ever wandering the Shambles or visiting York. A lovely gift for someone else or for yourself!
Awesome experience at il Gusto, very friendly staff and easy to get along with. You get to taste anything you want and their bottles are quite nice as well. I recommend the hazelnut vodka.
Awfully expensive for products that for most taste like chemicals!
Bought some oil at 3.90 for 100ml got to the till to be told it’s 7.80! They charged me 3.90 for the jar !!! I question it and asked where does it say you pay for the jar ! I suggested to the lady she should have a sign up stating this ! I would be interested to know if the lady behind me actually bought all the bottles she had filled as she too said she didn’t know she had to pay an extra 24 !
