Italian food restaurant, where you can find good Italian bread as well as good Italian food! But if you want to have a great time, a party or some other type of event, II Fornaio is always one of the best options here I n Coronado! Most importantly, II Fornaio has an amazing bay view! You can also romantically enjoy a gorgeous view of Downtown San Diego and the Coronado bridge as well! I would say that this s one of the most beautiful restaurants in Coronado!

The food was delicious, but I found an aluminum wrapper sitting in the sauce on one of my entrees. The help was kind and gracious, but I don't think she even gave us her name. The manager removed that item from our bill but I selected something else. I had invited another couple to join us but when they showed up, the lady at the desk denied that there was even any room even though my wife had called maybe half an hour before their arrival to be sure there was room. Thankfully there was another there who was much more gracious and dare I say honest. When I arrived about 10 minutes later there was plenty of space. Needless to say I was extremely embarrassed that my guests had to experience even such a minor inconvenience.
I liked the skyline and the Coronado bridge is very good. Driving over it is a treat. It can be a little cold in winters. But there are many places in Coronado island where you can view San Diego skyline in the night and it looks awesome.
Very good! Excellent service and gluten free options for pasta. The chicken mushroom pasta (substituted gf pasta) was excellent. Very rich and a large portion with very good gluten free pasta. I honestly would not have known it was gluten free...it was al dente, which is difficult to achieve with most gf pasta) and perfectly coated with sauce. Delicious. My dining partner had the penne pommodoro with chicken and loved it. Winner for an outdoor dining experience on Coronado during Covid.
Awesome staff. Amazing hot delicious food. Authentic. Super pleasant all the way around. Went here for our anniversary and they surprised us with a nice anniversary desert Thank you to our waiter (Simone) will definitely go back again
