You know you have entered a top notch cafe when you see and hear so many Italian customers. The coffee is truly excellent and with so many tempting Italian cakes and pastries every visit is a pleasure to experience. The staff are very friendly and living on Windmill Road ourselves, a daily coffee in Il Botanico has quickly become a favourite part of our daily routine - something to look really look forward to every day.

I just had the best cafe experience I have ever had in England. My cappuccino was delicious and authentically Italian, my lasagne was really well cooked and also delicious. I was encouraged to stay for more, and I had a scrumptious hazelnut-flavoured chocolate drink and a piece of chocolate fudge cake that was heavenly. The service is prompt and very friendly and the environment is relaxing with lots of plants pumping out oxygen. The loo is also very clean.
The coffee is amazing. None of the new-fangled nasty bitter coffee that so many new bars are serving, just really good Italian coffee the way it should be, and delicious cakes. With lovely plants, and gardener's expertise and genuine enthusiasm. A real gem.
