The perfect location for observing the Menin Gate. A good beer selection and reasonable prices. The Stout was especially good.

Always go here when we are in Ypes, get the Soup with Ham & Cheese Toastie it's perfect on a cold day and it's tasty.

Great location for the Last Post ceremony each evening. Was most impressed when staff quietly asked a few \disrespectful idiots\ to step off the chairs they were standing on. Good selection of beers - we didn't try any food so can't comment on that. Seating outside, right in front of the Menin gate. Wrap up warm on colder evenings!

(Detailed review below) Drinks - 3/5 Ambience - 3/5 Accessibility - 2/5 Cost - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Drinks - Quite a regular bar with a decent offering of drinks, both hot and cold. Ambience - Not exactly an exciting bar that makes you want to come back for more. But it’s clean, spacious and bright. Accessibility - As always, there’s a step to get in but once in, there’s space to move about. Wheelchair users will need a small ramp to get in past the steps. Cost - Average pricing. Service - Service is fine but unfortunately, nothing memorable. This is an average looking bar that is a simple and convenient stop that looks out directly to Menin Gate. There is free WiFi though.

What a great, friendly place. Good beer, great location in the centre right next to the Menin Gate. And great cheese toasties! It’s not big, so gets pretty crowded, but it feels local and authentic, despite all the tourists (like us!) The server was on her own at one point and really really busy, but always smiling and helpful. Thanks for a good night.
