Perfectly situated for the autumn sun at lunch time I had a Crocque Madam. It was freshly made not one of those sad readymade ones that are sadly appearing more and more. Served with a nice cold beer very reasonably priced good service. What could be better?
A great place for a quick wine and snack, or even a group of 30! For he last 3 years I have brought a group of 30 here prior to the last post ceremony; meal has been great and staff superb. Would recommend to all.

A fantastic restaurant in a beautiful situation overlooking Ypres' central square. Our group of 17 dined at De Trompet for 3 days over remembrance weekend. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were superb. A special mention as they ensured I had a delicious Vegan option at every meal. Highly recommended.
A great restaraunt we have eaten for many years and as i write we have just eaten the best Flemish stew EVER?!
Good location in the centre of Ypres. Cosy setting, that was nicely decorated keeping a traditional feel, but also with some elegant, modern touches. Egg and chips is apparently the thing to have, and it was very good. Great friendly service.
Had a very nice drink staff friendly. The food looked nice but I had already eaten.
