The first night we arrived here it was packed (Covid safe) so we had to reserve for the following night. A great choice, classic Belgian cooking, well served with plenty of effort and style. Flavoursome croquettes, succulent pork cheeks, smoked steak and a lovely chocolate fondant. Great meal, lovely evening after a day in the museums.

Been there with the kids but w/o a reservation. We were heartily welcomed and got an outside table in front of the restaurant facing the little street. The staff was super friendly and helpful, answering some questions in three languages. The food was delicious, the wine very fine. Already recommended it to friends who are going to be here in four weeks. We will definitely come back next time we are in Ypres!
Had a table of Nine people and I really cannot fault the food or service. One of the best meals I have eaten in a long time. Very reasonably priced too. A five star experience all round. If your in the area definitely try this place. In my experience you won't be disappointed.
We had the recommendation which was smoked chateaubriand. The best steak I ever had. It was served on salad which was smoked along the steak and had the smoky flavor - a dream. The service was great - very attentive. You'll get a small platter with little pieces of bread, paste of pork and olives - also delicious. As a dessert we had an espresso which was served with a little glass of eggnog. The place seemd to be visted more by locals than tourists. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends. The prices are absolutely fair!
I'm still trying to figure out what they want to mean by A l'envers (difficult to translate in English, inside out, upside down, first come last...). Everything was perfect, well timed and delicious. Exquisite meat, beautiful service, visit of the chef and nice exchange about the evening experience. If you pass in Ieper, don't miss it.
Excellent food, love the special chateaubriand à l'envers and the chocolate lava cake. Very supporting service and a special shoutout for the chef.
Oustanding smoked Chateaubriand!! Very attentive, professional and kind attendant. You will have to call im advance.
Fantastic food with hosts that were really helpful to fit us in at the last minute. Loved the experience and will definitely return when next in Ypres - highly recommended
