Idah's isn't just a patisserie it's an institution, at least among local tradesmen. In addition to an array of fresh cakes and doughnuts they are easily the best sandwich shop in town offering a selection of classic fillings such as lamb & mint (my favourite), chinese chicken, hot bacon & sausage, or I suppose you could just have ham if you wanted to, served in a choice of fresh breads and rolls with spread or (most importantly) real butter, salad, and topped off with freshly ground salt & pepper, to take away in paper bags. If you don't fancy a sandwich Idah's have a hot food display containing various pies, pasties, pizzas and sausage rolls. Prices are very reasonable, although bottled drinks are a bit cheaper in the Premier shop next door.

A taste of nostalgia. I haven’t seen a proper iced bun in years and it was just as I remember. Jam Donuts are amazing too... a proper bakery.
Love Idah's, always a great service. First time back since the lockdown in March 2020.
