Good for kids
This is the most amazing experience ever. Arguably the best part of our trip to Colorado. Our guide was the kindest, most wonderful person and made the whole tour awesome! He explained everything so well and got you really excited for every little thing. I already love rocks, gems, minerals, etc, but he took it to another level. I highly recommend anyone visiting Colorado to visit Phoenix Gold Mine, it will be worth it!!

Phoenix Mine was great! Our daughters loved being able to see the mine & see all the different areas. Dave was an awesome guide & included our daughters in everything. Easy to get to, right off the interstate. Would recommend to anyone!
Great experience with our 10 and 12 year old. The guide was very informative and kept us laughing at the same time. Not sure how this could get better unless we were blasting in the mine ourselves!
Took our rzr up to Lamartine, but due to snow we had to turn back. We passed Phoenix mine on the way up and we didn't want to let the day go to waste so we stopped by on the way down and it was the best thing we did today! Dave and Gabe were extremely professional and knowledgeable answering any and all questions I had. It was amazing learning about the Rocky Mountains and Colorado all from the inside of the mine. Dave explained everything very well on what the different metals and minerals were as well different steps in the mining process. The gold panning with Gabe was also pretty cool learning about the separation of metals/minerals through the use of water! Definitely will be going back one the weather warms up a bit! 10/10 recommend to anyone passing through!
If you are looking for a great experience of panning for gold & a fun mine tour this is the place to be! Our guide Gabe was amazing & super knowledgeable & truly made the experience exceed our expectations! The drive up to the parking area is primitive but the views are epic! Highly recommend!
