Hidden gem in Kyoto which is not overrun by tourists! Savour the unique beautiful atmosphere of Japanese shrines here, rather than at the tourist attractions! This shrine was formerly a place where women prayed for the safe return of their husbands from battle and now it takes care of all wishes related to women, from save childbirth or falling pregnant to finding happiness in marriage or women’s health.
What a beautiful Shrine! I feel so lucky to have visited here and drink from the fountain. What a wonderful sacred place. The staff working there were so friendly and informative! Thank you!! Beautiful goshuin and omamori.
Small jinja in the crowded district of Kyoto. There are many talismans and happy cards in which you can fill in your name and they will pray your wish in the morning.
