A famous restaurant worth a visit just for touristy reasons, but the food's not that special. The food is good but it's just ordinary Romanian food -- which is great. You can get the same in most people's houses or in cheaper restaurants. The decor and atmosphere are a bit old fashioned in the way that they're a bit tired and worn out. It needs a breath of fresh air. They could learn from Caru cu Bere which is an equivalent restaurant in Bucharest which has been mnodernised, but still keeps a trad style and use lots of live musicians. The staff are competent but not that friendly, but they didn't mind me sitting around all afternoon killing time. Inside the main ground floor room they were preparing for a big party, playing old fashioned dance music. All in all a nice experience and it's in a quiet street so next time I'm killing time in Iasi I will be back I was on the terrace which is great; the main restaurant is

The best food experience and service we had me and my boyfriend in the last few years. Despite the fact that our waiter Andrei was dealing with a big number of customers he provided an excellent service. Congrats to Andrei again! By contrary, his two other colleagues been just complaining instead of helping him... and on top of this one of them was eating sunflower seeds on a terrace full of guests. Disappointing and disgusting for a restaurant with such a good reputation... Intolerable behaviour... Hopefully the the management team will take measures so this habits stop happening.. Stop sabotaging yourself... All my respect and compliments to kitchen staff as well...
