Great experience with great views and up close visits with the Elk. Turns out the due hosted tours in January and February. Although I missed the tours, there are still plenty of Elk around. I would warn visitors that at the time I visited, early March, there was quite a bit of snow. Make sure your vehicle can handle it. Although the main rode is plowed, a lot of side routes were closed. Many of the places we stopped on our travels in this area had a good foot or more of snow off on the sides. Still it made the valley stand out. It was beautiful to see.

Although it is closed due to Covid-19, there is a nice viewing area just off the road. If you have boots, you can even hike down off the hill for a closer look. There was a large herd that was easy enough to see. Lots of people were visiting today.
It was an awesome ride to the ranch. We were disappointed that it was closed to covid unfortunately
Always fun to drive up and watch the elk hurds.
Hardware ranch is a great place to visit during the winter months. The elk are beautiful and majestic and it is amazing how close you get to them when you ride the sleighs. The cost for the sleigh ride is very reasonable.
It is a nice drive out of the city. It is located in a beautiful canyon. I enjoyed seeing the elk. You can take buy tickets to ride a sled out among them but I chose not to do this. There is also hiking trails.
The staff at Hardware Ranch are great. Beautiful views from several hiking trails. We spent three days with a large group up here at Hardware Ranch during the summer. We were lucky to not get temperatures higher than mid 80s. It can get cool during the evening and early morning. It does get windy on the top of the hills and on the trail. We were also lucky to not get any rain.
Such an amazing location! The scenery is breathtaking, as are the animals calling it home.
