Lovely Estate, the castle is just breathtaking
like
Though the castle is closed because it is being restored one can admire its beauty. A majestic building. There is a lovely children's playground nearby. Must see!
This is a truly magical place, English Heritage I'm sure will make the most of it, Sunderland second oldest building worth looking at.
Historical castle..which at one point was home to the first president of the United States of America..steeped in history and for Many years stood empty..now with the help of locals and the national lottery.it is once again being currently undergoing restoration..to be turned into a visitor's center and put it firmly back on the map as a tourist attraction..long overdue but it's nearly there.
This historic landmark looks wonderful now all lit up and converted. Well done to all involved
