Hyde Park Surgery Center was such an amazing experience from billing to hands on patient care. Tiffany with billing was so nice and willing to work with me about payment plans, everywhere else I called was asking for 2000 upfront and unwilling to even discuss options. I couldn’t be more thankful for Tiffany, I was planning on cancelling my tonsillectomy after talking to so many rude individuals at other facilities, I felt hopeless. It was such a smooth process once I got there, everyone was great. Tonsils are out and I’m feeling so much better!

Lets start with a positive, medical staff is amazing! DR, Nurses and everyone in between in the medical staff side. But, the administration staff is NOT, incompetent and patronizing. After signing every piece of paperwork presented to myself before surgery and a few after surgery. Which included paying in full for PRP injection. They decide that because one page that I signed giving consent for billing, did not have my credit card information but the other did. The admin staff referred it to collection. I called and asked, does your office have my number, does it have my email and does it have my mailing address, they replied yes to all. Then why is today the first I heard you have not been auto drafting from my cc account I provided to everything that has been done at your office. This staff spends more time blaming others to include major insurance providers instead of doing their job. From the simple logic of this patient has clearing maxed their out of pocket expense just at our ortho office alone, that maybe we should ensure the insurance company has the correct paperwork our office provides them. Nope not the case the administration staff puts it off on the patient and just says oh well. I have elected not to have my next needed surgery there because of it.
Never go to this place. They ask for money up front then when insurance pays they REFUSE to give a refund. These people are crooks running a scam to keep your money. There are too many good places in Austin to have surgery... DON'T GO HERE!!!
Would give the center nursing care more stars - but their billing is so poor - I tried to pay via phone 3 different times and it was still sent to a collection agency. Poor customer service.
