In NC visiting family for the holidays. I mean, it's average. Decent burger, average fries, average prices. Good lunch spot but nothing special.

I suggest getting an orangeade if you’ve never had it they are good. The food and service was wonderful.
I went yesterday with my mom on 9/12/2020. My experience was not enjoyable. None of the staff had their mask on correctly. My mom asked out server to please fix her mask when she served our food. Ther server was extremely polite but the manager ( older woman with short gray spiked hair) came over to our table and immediately had an attitude about it. She told my mom if she was so worried about the mask then we could leave. She then started ranting that the mask aren't required and that its just something the governor said to do and that if we called the police they wouldn't ticket them. ( we never even said anything about calling the police so I do not know why that was relevant) the entire time she was yelling at my mom she was standing over our table and food with no mask on. my mom works in a hospital and we just lost someone who was pronounced brain dead due to covid. I dont see why my mom asking that our server wear her mask was so offensive but I highly suggest the manager be refreshed on manners and customer service. It cost zero dollars to be kind.
I took a friend that had never eaten at Hwy 55 B n' S! She, along with myself LOVED our lunch. She said 1 of best burgers ever! Thanks! Love taking folk's who have never been! Thanks!
You can never go wrong at Hwy 55. Great people, service food and cleanliness. I almost always get the Philly cheese steak with pepper jack cheese. Soooo good. Then some fries with cheese to dip in. Om nom nom! Plus they have to good ice. Woo hoo!
