Fantastic place to visit. As you enter you go first into the shop. The guy there was very friendly and helpful and spoke English which helped us as we don't speak danish. You then start the circular tour through the farmhouse. Inside you have a very interesting recording of the history of Abelines Gaard in different languages. It's quite long however. Obviously I pushed the English button, and after awhile I felt obliged to move on as there were other people waiting to hear in different languages. It's fascinating to see how the people lived on this really challenging spot of land. During the tour you visit all parts of the farm, seeing the barns, farm implements, and going on into the living quarters, how the slept, are, cooked, and the clothes they wore in the wardrobes. Finally you come to the kitchens where you can get homemade cakes, and drinks. However ask the prices as we didn't and it was quite expensive. Outside there were old fashioned games for everyone to experience, and we enjoyed playing hoops and trying to walk on stilts. A fun and educational experience.

Absolut empfehlenswert.
