Warm friendly environment and great tasting food! We liked this place so much the first time... we went all the way back on another day. That's real good to say we passed several other breakfast restaurants and cafés to get here. The food is delicious and the GRITS is the best!!! I can definitely see us being regulars here... its over 30min drive for us but well worth it ....there was one thing I didn't like at first, the sweet tea, but when they made a fresh batch it was much better.... must be something with the bottom of the canister. That was the only but they fixed it and I got another choice

We stopped here on our way through Atlanta based on a suggestion from Google Maps. We were not disappointed. We each had a grits bowl. The grits were good enough to eat alone, but the salmon on mine was the perfect addition. My wife got the steak on cheese grits and, lucky for me, didn't finish it. The restaurant was clean and well spaced. All of the staff was masked and super friendly. This is a definite recommend if you are in the area.
we went early in the morning when barely anyone was there. Good chicken and waffles GREAT salmon and grits. will definitely be back
Average at best. I can understand why older people may like it. My younger taste buds not so much. Biscuits burnt, flat, and dry. Fish fried too hard. Toast not toasty. Cheese grits were ok. Maybe the food has a better taste sit in versus takeout. I regret not going to the grocery store.
OMG!!! Words could not express my feelings for my experience with this restaurant. It was a Sunday afternoon, my family and I (4 ppl ), wanted somewhere small and cozy to go. I googled \best place to have Sunday brunch\ Huskers was #3 listed in my results. Me being a chef and a foodie 1st checked out the reviews. Most of them was all good. The picture and the menu items got me excited. So I packed up my family and we went. None of us could decide what we really want so my husband said let's just try a lil of everything, so we did. We all got the premium build your own grit bowl, One Salmon, one steak, and one shrimp. Now my youngest is a picky eater so all she wanted was a waffle and some hashbrowns, but the three of us alone with our bowls also ordered biscuits and gravy, 3 pancakes, the shrimp bowl was double meat with grilled and fried shrimp. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! We all left there full and ready for a nap. BUT the lunch menu was speaking to me so b4 we left we ordered the salmon melt, and peach cobbler to go. The only negative I had was my steak was a bit chewy. Also reading the reviews one particular server stood out and without asking that's who we got, Jimmy, not sure if thats how SHE spells it but yes our server is a female and her name is Jimmy. She was AMAZING and stayed on top of EVERYTHING. We will be returning but not ordering everything on the menu again.
Stopped by 9/23/2020 first time visiting Huskers cafe - Stone Mountain. The omelette with steak was outstanding. My wife had the Buttermilk Pancakes with the very very hot maple syrup. Thought is was a little pricey BUT after getting our meal delivered by our awesome server Monique the Price and the experience was on point. Great place with great back in the day music. “ We definitely will be back!!!
