Technology is a wonderful thing, except when let loose in a NHS surgery. My Mum who is in her late seventies has been feeling unwell for several weeks so rang this morning for a telephone consultation. She was told to log into \the system\ and book an appointment. A link was sent that didn't work. After a bit of hacking on my part we found the correct web address and logged in which took 20 minutes. I then asked for a consult, initially this was obviously with a chatbot, but was then replaced by a person who suggested that she needed to have a consultation, surprise surprise. We requested a telephone consultation, now 45 minutes after the initial telephone call. This was logged. 30 minutes later an email was received saying that due to the high volume of requests they were unable to process hers so please do it again! I rang to speak to the practice manager to be told she doesn't take phone calls and to email her. Patient focussed care my eye. Do not register here, it used to be good, but i am sorry to say it is no longer.

Always received helpful advice. It can take some time to book an appointment but they have updated their website and introduced an online enquiry system which will relieve the time spent waiting for help.
This use to be a wonderful GP surgery. But in the last few years it has declined until now it is just awful. The phone rings for ages without answer. If you need a appointment it takes ages to book one if you can get one. I’ve waited for two weeks to see a GP. I’ve seen a few of the GP’s at the surgery over the years. Just lately they have been uninterested, abrupt, uncaring and almost dismissive. I’ve waited 40 minutes over my appointment time and even been told the GP may not see me for being 5 minutes late. I don’t know what is happening to our once fine and caring health services. But at the moment I don’t feel at all cared about when I go there anymore just another number. Today I didn’t even realise the appointment was over. No goodbye, no showing to the door I just got up in the silence and left. Priory Fields Surgery it is a real shame you have lost your motivation to care about your patients. Maybe it’s the increasing patient numbers or the stress of seeing so many patients. But at the moment the high respect I once had for you surgery has all but gone. I now dread visiting you to see another cold and unsympathetic GP.

After not going to the doctors for a long time I tried to make an appointment to then be told I was no longer registered there and it has now taken over two weeks for the new registration to go through. Have currently been on hold on the phone for over twenty minutes to try to get through to appointments. One receptionist was friendly and tried to help speed the process but the team who do the Registrations failed to do so. Now going to register at another local doctors instead. Called them and got through straight away.
