OK so.. we were very lucky to have pitch 13A with a gorgeous view of the Marina and river ( we turned our van round to have full 180 views) Our hosts are very friendly and helpfully , can't and wouldn't knock them. But the site is generally small and needs attention to areas that flood with rain causing problems getting water and emptying waste On that note, the aren't nice at all as you have to lift a drain cover and lift the waste barrel over a small brick wall. This is the same for the chemical toilet drain too. Needs up dating! Toilets and showers are fine ( although we used our own facilities) unfortunately, you have to buy shower tokens if you were to use them. Short walk to the park and long walk around the meadow alongside the river opposite the site. People had complained of road noise but the adjacent dual carriageway A1307 has now shut down, so site is lovely and quiet. Godmanchester has 2 shops and 2 pubs , on busy roads... Haven't seen much of Huntington but there's lots of road works going on at the moment. Would we come back? Well we probably wouldn't as it's a two hour journey and would only want to stay on our pitch 13A if we did Not complaining about the site or owners.. just better sites for us much closer to home

Stayed at this lovely site for five nights. It was our first time here but hope to stay again We had a fabulous pitch overlooking the river and it was great to watch all the river traffic. A friendly site with roomy pitches Only a five minute walk into Huntingdon but it feels like the site is in the middle of the lovely countryside. Plenty of walks from the site itself. Facilities old but kept clean. Really enjoyed our stay in this area. Tried Barney's Plaice for fish and chips. Superb but couldn't eat it all. Fabulous fish and real chips!! Also had a Thai take away (they delivered to the site) from Authentic Thai restaurant. Good portions and very flavoursome. What's not to like about a stay at this site!!!!
Absolutely lovely, well kept site. Dog walking field is great and a lovely circular walk via Godmanchester. Stop for sandwiches and fresh bread at Bellmans Bakery. In Huntingdon try Olmo for food. Tapas was superb and venue is very dog friendly. Beautiful place to stay next to the River. Very quiet. No road noise. Well worth a stay.
Oasis found !!! although Huntingdon is hardly a desert .... with the lovely Great Ouse river meandering through it and all the major trades, retail outlets etc there it is well served. This was our first outing with a touring caravan and we couldn't have picked a better place. Very helpful hosts, smaller but well laid out site on the river with its small adjoining marina make this a great location. The facilities are more than adequate, well thought out and maintained with some nice 'homely aspects' which is in keeping with the owners approach and the relaxed environment. Sitting at the river bank tables on a glorious September Sunday afternoon amidst the eclectic mix of caravans, tents, houseboats, passing cruisers, swans and dogs cooling off in the river with dappled sunshine bouncing off it make other events melt into the background..... Guess what.... ? Like Arnie we ll be back !!
Soens every weekend here and any other spare time and holiday time we get. Such a quiet and tranquil place to be. Such lovely people and the owners Chris and Derek are very helpful. I really enjoy being there and am always sad when we have to go back home. Dog friendly. With a shower/toilet block and electric hook ups too.
