The staff are very friendly and professional. The building, check-in and exam/sleep room were clean. The center and parking there are easy enough. My biggest issue is the amount of time it took to get an appointment for my child to be seen. It took 2.5 months to get in for a consultation. Then we found out they are booking the actual sleep studies 3.5 months out. And then another 3 weeks to get the sleep study report back. I know COVID has greatly affected the logistics and scheduling of patients. But when your preschooler has suspected obstructive sleep apnea and it’s affecting her and her family’s quality of life, waiting 6 months from the time we first saw ENT about her issues until she can get in for a sleep sleep study at Penn State Hershey is unacceptable. Luckily, I called our ENT back to see if we could be referred elsewhere. University of Maryland Medical Center was able to schedule her for an office visit next week and then presumably schedule her sleep study for early-mid December. Much better than waiting another 3.5 months for Hershey.
