I spoke to Luis and he apparently moved a few things around to accommodate my crucial pickup. WOW ! They are really good about doing what they say they are going to do and actually followong through. I highly recommend Federal to anyone who needs service and not excuses.
2 stars because it doesn’t take long to get loaded. Only good about this place. Terrible setup. Docks are tight. Have to unhook and park back out on the street. Get weighed in, find some small corner to turn around at, then dock. Get weighed out... etc. I guess now I know what to expect going there. Things should just be simplified. The people are nice. I wouldn’t choose to go back again, if that sums it up for drivers.
I have to say that right now they are in construction, and there is no place to turn around with a trailer. Must back in and the docks are super tight for a long wheel base truck. I have a kenworth w900 long hood and every time I have to dock between 2 trailers, I have to be extra cautious because it would be very easy to hit a trailer or mess up my front end up against a 2 feet wall that's right across the docks. Definitely not a place for bigginer drivers. Also depending on wich dock you have to get in, the scale my be a bit on your way.
