Party of 4 arrived at 11am on Sunday with a 35 minute wait. They were very busy. Our waiter was friendly. They have a paper menu and electronic menu you can view by scanning a QR code on your table. The food took another 35 minutes to arrive. We were starving and looking forward to a tasty meal that we anticipated from the amount of guests and the seating time. After our food arrived is when our experience went from OK to not worth going back. Pancakes - Dry and over cooked. Ordered 2 and received one small and one regular sized. French Toast - Dry and tasted more like regular toast (missing egg, cinnamon, vanilla) just blah. Hasbrowns - a regular order needs salt, pepper or some sort of help. The loaded order has small amount of shredded cheese, small amount of bacon pieces and to much raw diced red onion. Grits - these had No love at all. I even ordered these with bacon and cheese. The most bland grits I have ever tasted. Bacon - we ordered extra crispy and they missed the mark by a long shot. Floppy soggy bacon. Over medium egg - fully cooked center. No yoke Classic Benedict - another miss, on flavor. Hollandaise needs lemon. California Benedict - had a nice flavor and the only item from our visit that was tasty. The bacon, avocado and spinach saved this one. Restroom - small (2 stalls) Overall cleanliness was good. Overall food was very bland and lacked that southern love. Not worth the drive, wait or the price.

Good food, and they were one the only places open during the winter storm. We had to go into work to keep equipment fueled up and running over at the airport, so it was nice to have a place to eat and get warm again. We did have to wait for quite a while for our food though, so be prepared for that potentially.

My husband I came in today for breakfast as we pass by all the time but have never stopped in. Our waitress I believe her name was Jensen was so kind, attentive and friendly. She truly made our first Black Bear experience that much better. The food came out in a timely manor and we were extremely impressed with the portions. Awesome atmosphere, we will definitely be returning. 10/10!

My family and I have been to Black Bear, a few times. We went the first time because there was a wait list at the restaurant next door and black bear did not. The food is amazing. The fries are crispy. They had a good turkey pesto sandwich. My mother loves the salad with tuna. My oldest loves the burgers. Please try the Huckleberry lemonade. It is so good. The desserts are good too especially the banana split with Huckleberry ice cream and the brownie Sunday.
