Went to Huffkins today for their signature afternoon cream tea. Sadly it was quite a disappointment. Their savoury items were totally bland. The quiche was especially tasteless and lacked salt. The pork pie and scotch egg was very ordinary. The whole experience was underwhelming. 37 for this seems quite steep. Maybe the whole success of the brand has meant that the quality has not kept up. Will be trying the local bakery for afternoon teas in the future. Wouldn’t recommend Huffkins. Plenty of other good options in Burford.
Lovely waitress though possibly Dutch. Very pleasant with good attitude. Best chocolate eclair I've had in years though. Good social distancing inside.
Do try their Lardy cakes! Absolutely delicious. Ambience is precious and friendly staff.
We love visiting the Cotswolds for the day from Leicester. We always have an afternoon tea at Huffkins. Today was my husband’s birthday so again we were looking forward to having afternoon tea, we checked on the website before we came for hours of opening - it said 5pm. We arrived just after 4pm to find you were closed. Very disappointed.
