This was a very nice, well thought out museum. It isn't a huge museum but there are a lot of interesting, historical pieces that will keep you interested for about 2 hours or so. There is a brief film at the beginning and then a trench warfare simulation exhibit that was really cool but might be a bit much for little ones. After that, there is one big room with dozens of military vehicles, artillery and support vehicles. It is cool that they open some of the doors and hatches so that you can see the interior of the tanks, have platforms above some of the pieces so you can see into them and the Sherman \workshop\ simulating them regunning a tank was very interesting as well. I would highly recommend an afternoon here if you are into that sort of thing!

It’s a hidden gem! Very well maintained tanks and aircraft. Kind and knowledgeable guides. 20 well spent :) I’ll visit here again.

An absolute must see for history lovers! The presentation is incredible and some of the vehicles in this museum are truly one of a kind. The employees are clearly passionate about the subject and as a lover of museums and all things history, this museum is definitely in my top 3!

I have been introduced to mechanized warfare through the “We have ways of making you talk” podcast by historian James Holland and comedian Al Murray from the UK. Al’s reading of the classic book “Tank!” by Ken Tout would be a great introduction to a visitor heading to this museum. I won’t describe everything so you can discover it yourself but a few highlights for me were the different parts of the Sherman tank where you can see the confined spaces these men had to operate in. The variety of scout cars. amphibious vehicles and mobile guns complement the big names like the T-34s and an amazing Panther. I learned a lot from the guides to flesh out what I’ve gained from the podcast.
