Would have loved to have tried it but unfortunately they really didn’t want to seat us. We had a reservation and they told us it would be “a few moments” to seat us outside. There were at least 4 tables outside unoccupied. Several other parties got seated before us. My husband joked to other parties that even if you had a reservation you will still have to wait 20 minutes. The hostess rudely said “We can handle telling the guests the wait ourselves”. We got tired of waiting for our already reserved table and left and went next door to Dish Society to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday instead. Never coming back.

I love this place. Everything I've tried here is good. It is not like the original location. This place is fancier with modern decor, heavy front doors, stocked bar and outside seating. Great date night place if you are not a vegan. MAINS: You can't go wrong with any of the meats. Seafood or beef, they know how to cook it and make it flavorful. The pot roast (don't have a pic, sorry) is to die for. It makes 3 meals for me. The seafood gumbo is made with a lighter rue. I personally prefer a darker rue but it still tasted like a gumbo should taste. SIDES: I don't know how they do it, but the brussel sprouts are so crispy. They are a tad on the salty side but worth it if you are eating it with something else. The mac and cheese is divine. It reminds me of a higher quality version of my childhood cafeteria mac and cheese - because it just disintegrates in your mouth. DRINKS: Similar to the original location, their wines are a bit pricey. Instead of the typical 100% markup you'll see more like a 200% markup unless you go to happy hour. I haven't found a mixed drink that I've really fallen in love with either. But I'm going here for the alcohol. I go for the food.

Nice place and nice staff. I just find the food to be very overrated. It’s ok for the price point, just not memorable in any way. Cheese grits were very good but the breakfast sandwiches and potatoes were average, if not arguably bland - I could repeat them at home very easily. This was the Sunday brunch after Winter Storm Uri so perhaps they deserve some slack.

Everything we ordered was great....had the blackened scallops and shrimp with grits (very tasty - recommend this dish) also....the smoked pork chops....ordering these again! Request Valerie as your server...she's awesome!
