British Airways refuse to refund flights that UK passengers are forbidden by UK law from taking. I bought a return flight to Gran Canaria for end of Dec 2020 and the British gov has forbidden all holidays so I can't travel. BA won't refund, only a voucher, even though Easyjet immediately refunded a separate trip. What good is a voucher when I'll def want to avoid BA in the future? They don't answer the phone, just leave customers on hold to then hang up, and they have no public email for complaints. Avoid British Airways!
I planned my trip via kayak heading to Atlanta. The flights were booked, I thought I was flying with Finnar but it turned out to be British Airways, which was fine. My brand new luggage got checked in, let me stress again Brand New, never used before luggage. Let me state, I was jumping on 3 planes to get to my destination. So, the flight, left on time, we arrived early all staff were very nice. It was one of there better planes. I had to pick up my luggage from Tampa Florida and if you seen my case you would have thought I used it 10 times before (it's a hard shell case) it had scratches on it, the bottom had a dent in it, I wasn't happy. I continued with my plane hopping, got to Atlanta via another airline. I had an amazing 7 days. I popped out the dent in Atlanta. Why is when I arrive back in the UK from my return flight with BA and again my suitcase looks even more worse for wear. The plane was an older model, the screens were small and the picture not clear. The staff were lovely and helpful. But the way my luggage was handled, I'm not impressed.
Good to see the reviews are clear and allowed on google maps for British Airways Limited. Just flown from LA and the lack of social distancing in the check in counter, no temperature checking and social distancing on the plane in economy was non existent. During the flight no one checked and asked people to put masks back on. No one asked people to press the call button to go to the toilet. Staff were reluctant and slow to ask people to sit back down when disembarking the plane. It’s not difficult to set rules and follow them to make this safer BA. Write them down, print them out and ask people to read them. Pretty much the same as that form you put in the seat for an emergency.
Staff were totally out of their depth in a crisis and rude to passengers trying to help. We will not be flying with them again
