My partner John, had a blacksmith experience day with Neil last year, and hasn't stopped talking about it. While there we saw a tied Knot that Neil had forged, we fell in love with it, and as we are getting married in August, we asked Neil to make one for us to have at our wedding, it is beautiful and will take pride of place on the day, from John and Barbara

We are so pleased with the beuatiful a bespoke stair hand rail that Neil at Hot Metal Works made for us. We loved his design from the outset and it has been amazing to see it take shape in the workshop and now installed in out home. It is exactly what we wanted. Thank you Neil!

Completed a one day blacksmithing course here. Neil was welcoming, professional, and engaging. We made a hook and a fire poker whilst exploring some fundamental ideas and techniques relating to smithing. Genuinely one of the best days I’ve ever had, would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I commissioned Neil to make a grate for a Victorian fireplace and am delighted with the result. Fits perfectly, looks as if it's been there forever, completed the job quickly and at a fair price. Highly recommended.
