Lovely place to stop while you cycle around Rutland Water. The pint of IPAD was one of the best pints I've had in a long while. Just like to add the welcome here was great compared to the welcome we received at the Finch Arms. Be back for another punt soon. Cheers

We had lunch and dinner there yesterday. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because the baguette for lunch was baked too long and fell apart while eating. The service was good and friendly. There was plenty of picnic benches outside. We stayed on the campsite just opposite (behind the car park). Our dinner was very good. I had the Steak and Ale Pie with chips, peas and gravy. It tasted home made with thin pastry and lots of meat filling. The gravy was very tasty same as the rest. It was definitely a good choice to have. The rest of the family chose a Penang Vegetable Curry with rice and naan bread. The curry was mild to medium spiced and tasted lovely.

Excellent range of beers (Oakham ale in particular) and roast beef sandwich with bowl of chips. Lovely courtyard table in the sun, what could be better?
