Remarkable museum about locomotives and the area's industrial history, located at what had been a railroad station. There are artifacts of locomotives and the area's trades (like the implements used for harvesting ice from the nearby rivers). There is a sheltered picnic area, and a rest room nearby two vending machines. Commemorative plaques and inscribed benches acknowledge the museum's supporters. Next to the museum passes the Dutchess Rail Trail, which is paved at this stretch. Nearby is the Whortlekill firing range, so do not be alarmed if you hear shots in the vicinity.
