Wonderful experience start to finish! Our project was to create an album of an original musical theatre production. None of our team had any previous experience of recording but the guys at Hopemill were fantastic to work with - helping us source musicians, making everyone feel at ease during the recording week itself (which finished ahead of schedule!) and in all the mix/master work follow up. Steve and Tom were tireless in ensuring the finished work was perfect for us and went above and beyond to help get it onto the media we needed, liaising with third parties and advising when we needed it. The space and equipment at Hopemill were spot on and they are lovely people to work with - we would highly recommend!
Everyone at the Untold Orchestra loves going into Hope Mill. They've been able to accommodate everything we've thrown at them from a string quartet to a 7 piece band with 15 piece orchestra. Feels like home.
Without a shadow of a doubt, THE best studio I have recorded in. Great location for concentrating on the music, great staff with an unbelievable amount of professional-level experience and expertise. Huge live room with DAYLIGHT!!! ...and lots of it. Looks like a New York apartment. Amazing space, superb acoustics, great views of Manchester. There genuinely is no negative. The care and attention given to recordings and other sessions by the multitude of producers, engineers and artists at the studio is second to none and is far better than those other supposed “big name” studios in and around the City Centre. No.1 in Manchester as far as I’m concerned. Highly recommended to local, national and international acts.
Hope Mill is perfect for any recording expertise/experience you may need. Whether recording solo instruments or voices, or recording a full orchestra, Steve and Twem have everything covered, including a room great for filming and chilling. Great gear, superb knowledge of equipment and as musicians they understand how to get the best sound out of you and the studio. And they’re bloody lovely. 5* all round
