Food always good but the delivery service has let it down badly. After years of quality service (collection only) I recommended Hoo Tak to a good friend as a treat following successful self isolation after testing positive a little while ago. Cost of food was 16 (cash only on delivery). A person other than the person who ordered the food took delivery of the food and later eluded that they were charged 26 by the delivery driver and thought it a little expensive even though the food was nice. My friend said that was incorrect (they are within the 3 mile delivery zone) as delivery should have only been 1 rather than 10 and contacted Hoo Tak as soon as they could. They were told it would be investigated but didn’t get a return call. After several further unanswered calls they were eventually told that the driver disputed the version of events and, as there was no proof as to what had been handed over, they couldn’t take the matter any further. This may be the case but this is a warning to others to ensure you know the cost of the food ordered and the delivery charge because the cash only option leaves it open to manipulation/mistake/misunderstanding and, because of this, I’ll be placing my next 35 order as well as future orders elsewhere.
