We booked a flight over London in 2017, due to no fault of their own we were unable to take a flight until today. Well I can say it was worth the wait - when do you ever get to see the sights of London in such a truly magical way? Many thanks to our Pilot Kim who kept us on a steady course with the smoothest of landings. Flying over London is so dependent on very specific weather conditions - I'd definitely recommend Adventure Balloons but if you have more fixed dates etc. then maybe a balloon flight just isn't for you.
Finally got to fly on the 7th attempt. We found the website easy to use to re book again after a cancelled flight. It is a lot of money for a flight that you are never sure will go ahead and I did pay an extra 100 in order to open up a few extra flight dates but that was my choice. The flight itself was excellent and our pilot Gavin was very informative and professional. He explained the safety reasons behind why so many flights are cancelled and it is at the end of the day for your own safety as you do need the right conditions to fly. I would suggest that if you decide to book a flight then you should be prepared for the event of flights being cancelled and it is just due to the weather we have in Britain so just be patient and have as many dates in mind possible incase you do need to rebook. Also bear in mind you will need to be able to climb up and over to get into the basket so if you have mobility problems it’s best to first check that you will be able to get into the basket. I say this as I witnessed some people having difficulty climbing in. It is in the end worth it though!! Thanks again to Gavin and Andrew for ensuring we had a safe and enjoyable flight...and a good landing!
Pretty disappointed: - booked 5 times all cancelled (can provide links to historical weather forecast on these dates - sunny and probably no wind at all) - the booking system is bad. They dont send you an email confirmation after you re - book your flight. - booking 5 times means I had to take 5 days off which were completely wasted. They have a T&Cs policy that if you dont book 5 times within the year of your voucher you would have to pay 40 GBP pp to extend this for another year of SCAM and cancellations. Of course no refunds available for a service which does not exist! I would be happy to review my comments once I get my experience but so far this has been a total disaster and I strongly suggest thinking about your work holidays before you go on this ballon adventure! thank you
Absolutely amazing!!! Yes we had to rebook a few times but hey that’s English Weather for you!! Website very easy to use for rebooking flights, telephone numbers for flight updates really good, all the team on launch sight for the setting up to the pilot to the mini bus driver back to your cars were all amazing!! The flight itself was amazing especially gliding low over the crops when we came in to land!! We even waited 20 minutes for a couple to arrive who had been delayed due to traffic, which contradicts some of the poor reviews below!! I fully recommend Adventure Ballons but do think about the weather and that eventually you will get to go up up and away!!
