I bought a Sony Bravia LED TV (KD-55x8005C) in 2016. TV fails after 4,5 years. Backlights are failing. After contacting Sony they hide behind factory warranty and presumably find it normal that such expensive devices fail after only 4,5 years. According to their service partner the TV cannot be repaired and has to be replaced. They offered me a replacement through a service partner, but I basically had to pay for it myself. Furthermore they tried to put pressure on the offer by stating I had to decide within 24 hrs. There was a time when Sony stood for quility equipment. That time has come and gone. Very disappointing.
