It was a birthday dinner Hoku seemed to have changed a lot, from seafood theme to more contemporary fine dining. The service was good, decent wine menu and the best part of it was the ocean view. Recommend to be there for the sunset time. The dining room color set becomes amazing. We had 4 course tasting menu as this option gave us 2-3 menus to chose from each course. We were pretty happy with everything we had.

Excellent food and exceptional service! We will be back. We opted for 4 course menu and decided to share the dishes among 3 of us as they were generous portions vs. the grand 8 course menu. The flavors and dishes were the combination of French technique and local flavors, amazing creations! I will let the pictures speak for itself. The executive chef has worked at various 3 michelin star restaurants including but not limited to French Laundry, Per Se, El Bulli, Gordon Ramsey, Alinea, and The Fat Duck.

We waited for months for this experience but we were very disappointed. While the service was impeccable, the menu was very limited. We ended up choosing the tasting menu which was boring to begin with. Every single dish we ordered was under seasoned. Each dish was more disappointing and tasteless than the previous. It is a very expensive restaurant which would be worth it if the food tasted good. Kahala is a beautiful hotel and they should invest in reinventing and bettering the restaurant

We booked a Sunday brunch and enjoyed every aspect at this place. Friendly service and great food. They seated us at the view front desk since it's our anniversary day and we also received a little surprise cake in the end. Don't miss out the dolphin show around 1PM down the hotel pool if you plan to spend sometime here in the morning.

We ate here on Valentine’s Day 2019!. Food was delicious. We all got the tasting menu with the wine paring. Super pricey but the food was worth it. The staff were all very nice and the bathrooms were clean.

400 dinner that was mediocre at best. So sad to learn the Kahala has gone down the tubes. It used to be such a wonderful place to stay with impeccable service. Don’t waste your time dining here.

Love the food, tried the fried prawns & fish, it was super delicious. The Garlic rice was finger looking good. In starter they provide "Rice Crackers" which is toooooo yummy. I asked them to refill it as I finished the first batch too quick. Also tried the dessert (forgot the name). It was good too. The staff is very good. Ambience and cleanliness is 10/10. Highly recommended.
