I stayed at Lightfoot Hall in 2019 and loved it! The staff were really nice and friendly, the rooms were so comfy and warm, and the area is just amazing!! I really recommend this student accommodation.

Very impressed. Throughout these difficult times Lightfoot Hall has been a strong anchor for my daughter. I was worried about her being away from home during this worrisome pandemic, but I actually feel that this was the best decision in hindsight. Pros: The staff at Lightfoot have been amazing they done amazingly in providing great support and a nice accommodation. The staff here bend backwards to make sure that this is a comfortable and safe place to live. From a parental perspective I liked that my daughter was living in a space that is monitored 24 / 7, it makes me feel safe, that I would always receive a response to my queries, and overall my daughter was happy. My daughter tells me that Nadine has been a constant smiley face and friendly voice. The manager Kat has been really forthcoming with responses any queries and worries that I had, and was happy to check in with my daughter from time to time. She arranged repairs and fixtures above and beyond our expectation. My only con is the rooms are a bit small, but this is only a small issue as the big windows help with making the space seem bigger. Thank you hfs

Though the rooms were more or less nice (smaller than advertised), the services I was offered and the experiences I had to go through are not worth the money. The following is the most concrete example I have, and, personally, one of the most uncomfortable experiences I had to deal with. I was out of Lightfoot Hall for almost 3 months (I travelled back home during the lockdown) only to come back to a completely mouldy fridge inside my room. At that point, I had to self-isolate, but I'm sure that someone could have come in and helped me if we kept a distance (I ended up getting a wipe and surface spray in front of my door with which I had to clean the fridge). However, I was told that this was not Lightfoot Hall's responsibility, even though they turned off my fridge without cleaning it properly obviously. Now, I paid for everything in advance (all the bills etc.). I haven't been in my room for MONTHS and neither has my roommate, so there was barely any electricity or gas being used. They had no right to turn that fridge off. To top it off, I wasn't notified that anybody entered my room, so all of this was done in my absence without my knowledge. The only somewhat helpful person there was Nadine, haven't really interacted with the other staff (though most of them seem nice). Can't blame the staff, it's all up to building management. Oh, and now they won't give me my deposit back even though it's been more than a month. All in all, had a lot more negative than positive experiences.

The staff are very friendly and easy to approach when I ever need to ask for anything and the room is very nicely furnished throughout.

I would steer clear of this place unless your parents are paying your rent or you have a lot of savings (even then I would be cautious) They are being really unhelpful, responding late and couldn't care less about making me pay for things (aswell as the deposit) before my loan comes through, nightmare for me Expecting scans and prints of stuff in the middle of a pandemic when libraries etc aren't open. These kinds of landlords aren't what you want when youre studying I expect this will make the stress of my degree worse. I had a much better experience with my year one uni accommodation
